We assist the Hong Kong MRCC in ensuring maritime safety in their international waters.
SAIT’s experience in the design and manufacturing of MF/HF maritime radio communication equipment was the base of a new order for the completion of the GMDSS system of Hong Kong MRCC.
Hong Kong Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (HKMRCC) is operated by the Marine Department of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and is responsible to coordinate all maritime search and rescue (SAR) in international waters of South China Sea, Bounded by Latitude 10Â° North and Longitude 120Â° East. This area is called the Hong Kong’s Maritime Search and Rescue Region (SRR).
The local company, Pacific Century Cyberworks Ltd (PCCW), secured the order from HKMRCC to supply and install required HF and MF transmitting systems. The HF Transmitting System shall interface and integrate with the existing voice communication equipment, DSC modems, NBDP modems and audio/data interface panels and HKO’s broadcasting interface at HKMRCC.
SAIT will supply two systems including four 5 KW HF transmitters in 4 for 3 configuration and two 1 KW MF NAVTEX transmitters in 2 for 1 configuration, all for Cape d’Aguilar Radio Station.
